The Kootenay-Columbia Conservative Association was honoured to host Minister of Justice Peter MacKay in a recent visit to the riding.
The Minister delivered a speech emphasizing the efforts in reforming Canada’s criminal code to place victims back in the centre of the equation. He also acknowledged Kootenay Columbia Member of Parliament David Wilks and his ongoing efforts in support of legislative reform. MacKay was particularly complimentary towards David Wilks’ efforts in successfully passing a private members bill, emphasizing the difficulty Wilks faced.
