I’d like to thank the members of the multi-Party Debate Committee for their hard work this election. I am committed to bringing democracy to the people of Kootenay-Columbia and look forward to attending the Indigenous Issues Debate as well as other planned debate events in Revelstoke, Kimberley, Cranbrook, Sparwood and Fernie. 

I had hoped to attend organized debates in Golden, Invermere, Nelson (Chamber) and Kaslo to name a few, however, those events didn’t come together as the Committee had hoped. I continue to believe that properly structured debate events, placed to be accessible to the most number of Kootenay-Columbians, play an integral role in a healthy democracy and, as your Member of Parliament, I will work to ensure that a broader debate structure is made available in our riding.
